B-K Lighting & TEKA Illumination Join Forces with CLTC

B-K Lighting and Teka Illumination are proud to
announce a new partnership with the California Lighting Technology Center
at the University of California, Davis. Established through a joint effort of the
California Energy Commission, Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Program
and UC Davis, the California Lighting Technology Center conducts both
cooperative and independent activities with lighting manufacturers, electric
utilities and the design and engineering professional communities.

We are looking forward to combining our resources to facilitate the development of more energy efficient lighting and to further educate and increase the distribution of more efficient lighting, which will in turn reduce energy costs and the environmental impact of lighting. The first activity B-K Lighting / Teka Illumination and CLTC plan to initiate is the evaluation of the most current energy efficient LED products to address the desire to expand B-K Lighting’s product line with cutting edge energy efficient lighting technologies.

About CLTC: The California Lighting Technology Center (CLTC) at the
University of California, Davis was established through a joint effort of the
California Energy Commission, Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Program and UC Davis. CLTC conducts both cooperative and independent activities
with lighting manufacturers, electric utilities and the design and engineering
professional communities to develop, evaluate and demonstrate emerging
lighting and day lighting technologies.
CLTC’s facility is comprised of full-scale lighting and day lighting laboratories,
emerging technology demonstration areas, and a classroom with full
conference audio/video capabilities. The laboratory enables research projects
and technical services, while demonstration areas showcase innovative
lighting and day lighting technologies. The CLTC classroom hosts numerous
professional development and university courses, training seminars, and
meetings.
